Advanced Technology offshore

The IHC Waterhammer®; a revolutionary design for the ultra-deep-water market which runs on sea water instead of oil.

This self-propelled heavy transport/offshore installation vessel, with DP2 capability, is able to transport and install multiple fully assembled 5MW class wind turbine generators, whilst remaining floating.

For detailed information on the quick method of connecting turbines to the foundation, see directly below.

The quick connect is a new novel method of connecting turbines to foundations. It was developed to work with the Turbine Installation Vessel but the technology could also be applied to current installation procedures.

It has the following key advantages over the commonly used bolted flange method:

1. Physical alignment and guide in

2. Impact energy absorption for soft touch down

3. Radial wedges replace the bolted flange offering quick securing and improved ongoing maintenance.

Assembly of two sets electrical driven traction and storage winch systems for lowering and hoisting a 2.000m long fall pipe for deep water rock dumping, designed and built by IHC Hytop.

Automatic skidding system, safe and fully controllable equipment transport in harsh conditions at Sea State 5 onboard of well intervention vessels designed and delivered by IHC Offshore Systems.

Advanced Maritime Technology

In 2010 IHC Lagersmit introduced the SUPREME Ventus DP. A zero oil-emission seal for thrusters which function at varying great depths.

A pioneering robotic production solution for welding bespoke piping systems is available at IHC Piping.
